Management Challenge In view of narrowing margins in the interest income and the strategy to extend its mass affluent customer base, the bank intended to use nominee unit trust business as the foundation for its wealth management business. Our Solution Firium was able to meet the bank’s requirements by implementing the Avantrade Unit Trust System to serve the Bank’s Unit Trust Nominees Distribution businesses. The distribution system was implemented in 5 months. With the system, the bank is able to launch their new wealth management business, distributing over 30 products from 4 fund managers effectively and efficiently. The system enabled the bank to provide an Unit Trust sales automation via its nationwide branches with centralized back office processing. Based on the transaction volume generated, the bank is expected to recoup its entire investment in the new system within 3 months after its launch.
