Firium to introduce new solution to banks
By Alice Chia (Business Times)

BUSINESS consulting and IT solutions provider Firium Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd plans to introduce a new wealth management plan solution targeted at the financial services industry in Malaysia. Sales director Alex Lim said the solution, called iPlan, will help financial institutions service a new segment of customers, the “mass affluent”. “Wealth management used to mean taking care of super-rich people, but the market has since matured. Wealth management is now being targeted at people in their 30s who have the excess cash,” Lim said in an interview recently. The iPlan solution, which is sold to banks, is aimed at easing the workload of their sales people. “The solution will provide templates to ease the sale process,” he added. Lim said Firium has already closed a deal with one of the local anchor banks and the company is in the process of implementing the solution for the bank. However, he declined to name the bank. Firium is also at the final stage of negotiation with another two prominent foreign banks in the country, Lim said. Firium has already closed a deal with one of the local anchor banks and the company is in the process of implementing the solution for the bank. However, he declined to name the bank. Firium is also at the final stage of negotiation with another two prominent foreign banks in the country, Lim said. The iPlan solution is already available in Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Firium will also be organising a free half-day seminar at Wisma MCA on November 26 for small and medium enterprises. The “Winning customers with sound business fundamentals” seminar will be organised with Microsoft Business Solution (Navision), Brio Software Inc, Hewlett-Packard Sales (M) Sdn Bhd and Microsoft (M) Sdn Bhd. Lim said Firium hopes to share the importance of an efficient business infrastructure to establish a more profitable customer relationship with the Malaysian medium business owners. Participants will be able to exchange views on e-business solutions in overall business infrastructure as well as on how to improve customer satisfaction through improved accuracy. Firium is an investee company of 3i Plc, Europe’s largest venture capitalist, as well as a key partner company under the Singapore Exchange-listed Internet Technology Group. The company has its headquarters in Singapore and local offices in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
